Not Settling but Moving On…

As chronicled previously the release of Cloud Foundry and the resurrection of the developer mantra has had a profound impact on my thoughts and career aspirations.  These events stirred up within me a hunger and passion about development that I’ve not had in years.  My reading habits have changed and I’ve started back to University to pursue a Masters in Computer Science.  While these things are great and the promise of Platform as a Service for the enterprise is fascinating it still wasn’t enough to overcome the inertia of my current path. An F’ing Cool PaaS

Cloud Spoilage

I’ve worked in the IT industry for over 15 years and have seen various technologies come and go.  I’ve seen my share of hype cycles and various IT pundits talking about the next big thing.  I’ve survived the craziness that was Y2K and the fear mongers who were stockpiling beans, bullets and rice – because whoever has the beans and rice will need the bullets. :-)   Read the rest of this entry »
